Pool and Change Room Facilities
Located in the heart of Banff National Park, Banff Upper Hot Springs features a hot soaking pool (39 °C) with a spectacular view of Rundle Mountain. Men’s, women’s and accessible change rooms are available with one-time use lockers. Washroom facilities and showers are located in the change rooms. Visitors must shower before using the pools.

The Banff Upper Hot Springs Café is located on the upper level of the bathhouse and includes ample seating to catch up with friends and family over a meal or coffee. Grab a snack, drop by for lunch or cool off with an ice cream after your soak.
Things to Do
Banff Upper Hot Springs is located on Sulphur Mountain, just 4 km from downtown Banff. While you are in the area, pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on the deck overlooking the hot springs or purchase our Thermal Waters Pass and enjoy entry to Banff Upper Hot Springs and the Cave and Basin National Historic Site for one low price!
Up for more? Get your heart pumping on a 13 km (return), 750 m elevation gain hike to the summit of Sulphur Mountain and the Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site and experience the ultimate view of the town of Banff.
Transportation and Parking
Leave the car behind and hop on ROAM, Banff’s regional bus service. Take route 1 up Sulphur Mountain then follow the foot path up a short hill to Banff Upper Hot Springs.
Limited parking for cars, RVs and motor coaches is available on site. Motor coaches and RVs are required to park in the back lot where there is more space to maneuver. From the parking lot, follow the short uphill trail to Banff Upper Hot Springs.
Accessible parking is available next to the Upper Hot Springs Bathhouse.
