Updated: March 30, 2021

Changes to BC's provincial health orders came into effect on March 30. Under the current rules, Radium Hot Springs remains open with a COVID-19 Safety plan in place.

Miette and Banff Upper Hot Springs remain closed under Alberta's provincial health orders

Your visit to Radium Hot Springs will be different.

These are the rules you must follow:

By order of the Provincial Health Officer, masks are mandatory when entering and exiting, and in most parts of the building. Masks are not required in the wet hall or while in the pools and may be stowed in your locker.

Be polite and follow directions from Parks Canada staff.

Those who are not wearing a mask will be denied entry.

Violence, verbal and/or physical abuse will not be tolerated. Those who do not comply will directed to leave. Failure to do so will result in the RCMP being called and may result in the closure of the hot springs.

Food and alcohol are not permitted in the building or pools.

You must follow all BC provincial health orders including only visiting with members of your household or core bubble. If you have a runny nose, cough, fever or feel ill, stay home.

Here is what you should expect:

Limited capacity to allow for physical distancing. Please maintain 2 m distance from those outside your household at all times.

Entry is first come, first served. Anticipate lengthy waits (1 hour or more) before entering. Please dress for the weather.

Swimsuits are not available to rent. Towels are available for purchase only.

Hand sanitizer stations, plexiglass barriers and directional signage are in place to help you move safely through the building.

Your safety and the safety of Parks Canada staff is our first priority. To ensure your safety and comply with public health guidelines, we have adjusted operation. This includes increasing the frequency of cleaning and sanitization, adhering to capacity limits, collecting contact tracing information, and removing non-essential touch points and service items.

Reservations to soak in Radium Hot Springs are neither required nor available. For hours, fees and more information about visiting Radium Hot Springs, click here, read our FAQ or call 1-800-767-1611
